Join TENTS FOR TROOPS

  • Do you own or manage a campsite that wants to participate in Tents for Troops ?
  • Do you want to give back to our men and women who have fought for our freedom ?
We invite you to join our growing list or parks who are participating in Tents for Troops

To become a participating park member of Tents for Troops all we ask is that you commit to providing two sites for two nights when an active member of the military requests a reservation.

Two sites, two nights. Really, that's it.

Tents for Troops operates by providing otherwise Vacant RV or Tent sites to Active Duty Military and their Family's. We never ask a Park to donate a site the Park could have otherwise rented. Parks do not need to dedicate any specific sites to the program but rather any site you may have vacant at the time Troops make a reservation. Again the program is intended for Active Duty Military & their Family' only and unfortunately at this time is not available to retired Veterans. Drop ins are never allowed, Troops must always have advanced reservations. Troops must always make reservations directly with the Parks they wish to visit.

You are under no obligation by joining Tents for Troops. There is no contract for a required amount of time in the program, no fees or hidden costs. You may black out holidays and special event or festival dates as you wish. If you want to dedicate more Tents for Troops sites or additional nights of camping, you may. For example, you may choose to include 10 sites in the program and up to one week of camping. Some parks even include cabins or rentals for those that do not have their own unit but want to experience family camping. You, the park operator, choose exactly to what extent you want to participate. Perhaps you want every space in the RV park or campground to be open to active military for a full week! Or maybe you'd prefer to begin with two sites for two nights. Your call.

Tents for Troops has only two requirements for participating parks: 1) offer at least two sites for two nights when an active member of the military and their immediate family want to stay at your park and 2) you may not exclude or black out weekends other than holiday weekends.

No matter the number of days or sites you wish to contribute, your generosity is vastly appreciated - we promise you that.

Reservations are Required

All military wishing to stay at your property are instructed to make prior reservations and advised that Military I.D. will be required upon check-in.

Please fill out the registration form and you will recieve an email confirmation once your submission as been added.

As a 501c3 charity, Tents for Troops will gladly provide campgrounds a letter certifying the donation’s retail value upon request, which can then be deducted as a charitable contribution.

It is a very small way of saying thank you for all of the hard work and sacrifices men and women in the military make. We fully support Tents for Troops at my park, Toutle River RV Resort, and I personally encourage all RV parks and campgrounds in North America to consider offering free camping for active military! You simply can't imagine the impact this has on our troops, it's tremendous.
